Bold Leadership for Hilliard's Future

Nineteen years ago, I marched onto the parade field at West Point and swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. I learned a lot about leadership there and as an Army officer in the 101st Airborne Division. I learned that true leaders believe in something greater than themselves. They have clarity about their principles and values and remain unwavering in their application of them. Furthermore, great leaders hold true to their beliefs no matter the difficulty or popularity. I think our community, state and nation need more leaders like these.

I think many politicians at the state and national levels have been far too focused on partisanship and on preserving their power rather than public policy and serving the people. Good government is good politics and fortunately, we have just that in Hilliard.

Hilliard is blessed with diverse and talented people, an expanding base of good-paying jobs, an incredible park system and a community spirit that is the envy of Central Ohio.  Things are good in Hilliard - but we can make them even better.

Our City Council is working closely with Mayor Schonhardt and his Administration to take Hilliard to the next level.  We want to keep bringing in good jobs, balance our residential and commercial growth, raise our aesthetic standards, reduce crime and make Hilliard a community that all of us can live, work and play in for generations to come.  We can make it a reality, but it takes leadership and collaboration.

Hilliard City Council

As President of Hilliard City Council, I have witnessed the power of collaboration and the ability for diverse and talented people to rally around a core set of beliefs to affect the common good. I will be your voice on Council and lead in a bold, ethical and innovative way to bring people together to solve the challenges we face as a community without compromising our values and principles. That is why I am seeking re-election to Hilliard City Council.

I look forward to earning your vote and support.
